He embarks on a perilous journey to the future, where he uncovers a dark dystopia, and a horrifying twist—the Silent Ones: a hive-like people who have lost all contact with their voice of conscience. Kayin faces the possibility of losing his Sense of Self (and thereby the memory of a long lost love), as he is tasked with coaxing the Silent Ones to speak, while grappling with his role in safeguarding the memory of the world and, along with it, the very future existence of humankind.
